fine crafts submission guideline
for the Holiday Gift Shop, 2022

Eligibility:

  • Open to local fine craft artists that include small items (due to space): jewelry, pottery, cards,  woodworking, glasswork, candles, ornaments, stocking stuffers, stained glass, ceramics, and more.

  • Work must have been produced in the last three years.

  • Eligible work executed by artists 18 years or older.

  • A 30% commission on your sales (recommended artist increase their sales). However, SSAG is open to negotiations on percentage since this is our first holiday shop.

Apply to the Holiday Shop:

  • Send at least three pics of your work and the following information about your pieces via email: please send pics & info to shibuistudioart@gmail.com. 

    • Your contact info: name, address, email, phone and website or facebook/instagram page(if have one).​

    • Description of your work (unless you listed a website that has this information).

    • Prices of your products you'd make available to the holiday gift shop.

    • Additional information like an item you'd be willing to donate for our prize drawings.

  • SAAG Committee will review all applications and sample images submitted to determine the acceptance of the artist to Holiday Gift Shop. Artists will be informed of their acceptance status before drop-off begins on November 20.

  • Applications submitted without images will not be considered unless Genece Hamby has seen your work in person and requested your participation.

  • Accepted artists will be contacted to schedule their drop-off or pick-up.

By Submitting an Application:
I agree to the following SSAG guidelines:

  • I understand that SSAG may not have the space to display all of my items at one time. SSAG will determine how items will be displayed in the gift shop.

  • I agree to include any commission for the SSAG into my ticket price. I understand that SSAG will not add sales tax to the purchase and that I am responsible for remitting sales tax to the State of Illinois.

  • I agree to deliver my items to the Shibui Studio Art Gallery at the scheduled time Or, meet on the scheduled date for pick up arrangements.

  • I agree to pick up my art at the scheduled appointment time given or will make other arrangements.

  • I understand that SSAG will strive to take good care of consigned items but cannot be held responsible for broken, lost, stolen or damaged items.
